The Kitchen Manager is responsible for leading our Kitchen team. This includes preparing meals, directing meal prep, recruiting staff, keeping inventory, and food ordering.
Full-time: Roughly 40 hours per week depending on the season and 40+ hours per week during the Summer time

Housekeeping Assistants are responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which include our cabins, lodges, offices, and bathrooms.

Weekend host shifts will vary depending on guest arrival and departure. Hosts are responsible for greeting and prioritizing guests needs during their stay. Light cleaning and sanitizing during your shift will be needed, and oversight of guests needs as they arise. Host will be present for meals prepared by Inspiration Hills and will guide guests during meals.

The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for assisting with preparing meals, cleaning up after meals, and preparing for upcoming meals or snacks. In addition, the Assistant Kitchen Manager also provides support for the Manager in the areas of scheduling, food ordering, and inventory.
Part-time: Roughly 10-20 hours per week and 40+ hours per week during the Summer time

The Kitchen Cooks are responsible to follow set menus and take charge of the kitchen during meal times. Cooks are responsible for preparing meals, cleaning up after meals, and preparing for upcoming meals or snacks.

VOLUNTEER DAY (May)
Once each spring, usually on a Saturday in May, Inspiration Hills hosts a Volunteer Day. This is a great opportunity for friends of the camp to help us get ready for a busy summer season. Past projects have included splitting wood, cleaning up the trails, painting/staining and other miscellaneous projects. CONSTRUCTION & GROUNDS
Interested in bringing in a group of people to help us with a project? We can often use skilled volunteers to help with construction projects. We can also use skilled and non-skilled volunteers to help with grounds projects. Contact our Buildings and Grounds Manager, Caleb Jones at 515-493-9314 to schedule your group to come and help.
2025 Summer Camp programs will take place each week between June 10 and August 12 (with a half week break over 4th of July).
For Program Staff (Counselors, Coordinators, Wranglers, and Nurse) housing will be provided throughout the summer.
For Non-Programs Summer Staff, reach out to your supervisor to learn more about your work schedule.
Lodge Camp Coordinator: Responsible for organizing and implementing the daily program for Lodge and Journey Camp for campers entering 4th-9th grade. (1 year of camp experience is requested)
Day Camp Coordinators (2): Responsible for the oversight and implementation of weekly Day Camp and Discovery Camp Programs for campers entering 1st-4th grade. (1 year of camp experience is requested)
Wilderness Coordinator: Responsible for organizing and implementing the daily program for Wilderness Camp for campers entering 4th-9th grade. Knowledge of outdoor activities and skills is helpful. (1 year of camp experience is requested)
Saddle Up Horse Camp Coordinator: Plan and implement a camp experience in conjunction with the Horse Camp staff/wranglers. (1 year of camp experience is requested) Saddle Up Head Wrangler plans horse activities for campers entering 4th-9th grade. Oversee and manage the horses and their care. Responsibility for implement safety procedures and overseeing volunteer staff.
Saddle Up Assistant Wrangler: Assist in the care of the horses and volunteer staff. Help with implementing horse program for the campers.
Ropes Course Coordinator: Responsible for ropes course staffing and preparations for summer camp groups and assisting with Wilderness Camp staff. (1 year of camp experience requested)
CHIPS (Christian Hearts In Powerful Service) Coordinators (2): Plan and present a mentoring and discipling program for campers entering 10th-12th grade through words and actions. (1 year of camp experience is requested)
Worship Coordinator: Plan and prepare for each chapel service for the campers. Work with volunteer chaplains each week and provide collaboration with staff for chapel musical. (1 year of camp experience is requested)
Camp Photographer/Media Coordinator: Responsible for collecting all the media (pictures/videos) for each week of camp. You will prepare and edit media so it is available to share with parents/camper each Friday of camp. (Media experience requested, not required)
Counselors are responsible for a group of campers throughout the week. They will lead bible studies, team building activities, games, and assist in various responsibilities at camp.
Counselors are required to attend 2 weeks of training on property prior to the beginning of Summer Camp.
Inspiration Hills is looking to fill lifeguard positions during the months of June-September 1 for our outdoor swimming pool.
Assist around camp where needed; lifeguard at the pool, slip-n-slide, and other various activities. NO experience necessary, applicant must be 15 years old by May 1 and pass lifeguard certification.
Inspiration Hills is looking to fill our summer lawn mower positions. Lawn Mowers work with the Buildings and Grounds crew on a daily basis to keep the grounds looking fresh and welcoming. NO experience necessary. We will teach you Applicant must be 16 years old by May 1.

Be our weekend campground host! Campground host is responsible for small tasks such as light cleaning, greet guests, answer questions, give out information about Inspiration Hills, do routine maintenance, and possibly collect campground fees. In exchange for a free site to pitch a tent or park an RV at our campground.
We hire extra kitchen help during the summer season. Kitchen helpers assist in many different areas in the kitchen and dining hall. Their responsibilities vary depending on the meal or snack being served. They report to the kitchen cook at the time of each meal to be assigned job duties.
Responsibilities:
Set tables in the dining hall
Clear and the wash dishes after each meal
Light prep for kitchen cook
Assemble sack lunches
Operate the dishwashing machine
Sweep and mop the floor
Part-time: Filling positions for mornings, early afternoon, and early evening meal times
Year-round / summer positions available
Pay is depends on experience

Every week we use our camp bus to transport Day Campers in the morning and afternoon as well as provide transportation for campers to and from Pouters Pond during the week for canoe outings.
We need people with a CDL B or higher with a passenger endorsement for this position.

Our camp nurse is vital part of a safe, healthy week at camp. The role of the camp nurse is to assist campers to meet their health needs, provide care in the event of an emergency, help ensure campers are receiving any prescriptions they might have.
Volunteer counselors are in charge of supervising and leading 8-10 campers during the week of camp. The primary responsibilities include leading Bible studies, games, getting to know their campers, and showing them the love of Christ. The main goal is to be an influential leader and provide the campers an amazing and fulfilling week at camp!
Each week during our summer camp program, we are fortunate to have a chaplain who volunteers their time, energy, and wisdom to help lead and support our worship experiences, Bible studies, and various activities as our camp chaplain for the week.
The chaplain’s primary responsibility is to serve as a pastor/teacher through chapel times, small groups, one-on-one counseling, and various activities. We provide room and board during the week of camp. Chaplains may also invite one or two family members.
