Speaker

Pastor Steve VanWyhe

My name is Steve VanWyhe and I grew up in Rock Rapids, IA. I went to Northwestern College in Orange City, where I played football and earned a Youth Ministry major. More importantly I met my future wife, Kayla. We have been married for 7 years and have 4 awesome kids; Carter (6), Gracelyn (4), Kyah (2) and Jaxton (9 months). After college I got a job in Illinois as a Youth Pastor, where I served for 5 years. I was then called by God back to northwest Iowa to serve for the last 4 years as an Associate Pastor of Youth and Discipleship at Carmel Reformed Church. God has given me a passion for the gospel and ministry. I love creating opportunities for people to meet Jesus, whetter that is at a camp, midweek activity or on a Sunday morning. I also enjoy woodworking, sports, and playing my guitar. Some of my favorite things to do with my family are playing disc golf, going on walks, putting on Bible story plays, and having game nights.
